Radar Technology: IPVM’S ANNOUNCEMENT OF TESTING RESULTS FOR AXIS SECURITY RADAR DEVICE (D2110-VE)

RADAR TECHNOLOGY – firstly used for military purposes to detect aggressors on land, sea and in the air – has been a crucial addition to today’s security and surveillance sector.

Its capability of detecting objects and people based on RADIO WAVES allows the device to ‘see’ even in challenging environments.  This technology is highly useful to keep a variety of premises safe and secure – be that factories, public institutions like swimming pools or parking lots.

As announced on the #IPVM website regarding the test results on the new radars, it is shown that the upgraded version offers higher performance compared with the AXIS’s first radars:

✅  180-degree horizontal coverage with up to 60-meter range for people and up to 85-meter range for vehicles

✅  Improved accuracy in tests performed in different contexts, and a low false alarm rate for things such as animals, trees, etc…

✅  Unaffected by rains

✅  Radar can be easily integrated into VMS software as a camera
